Routerele CISCO

Pentru ca nu am de gand sa insist mult asupra protocoalelor de retea, voi trece direct la routerele Cisco, dezvoltand pe parcursul articolelor modul de functinare, comenzile, diferitele tipuri de configuratii, etc.

Ca orice “cutiuta cu maimutele”, un router Cisco e plin de “maimutele”. In cazul nostru – procesor, memorie RAM, ROM, Flash etc.

Conexiunile sunt cele standard, cu optiune de a adauga module in functie de necesitati:

Dupa cum a-ti citit ceva mai sus, componentele unui router cisco sunt asemanatoare componentelor unui calculator. Logica ne indeamna sa credem ca exista si un sistem operativ care sa beneficieze de respectivele componente. Ceea ce e adevarat.

In cazul Cisco, OS -ul se numeste IOS, si are diferite variante, in functie de tipul routerului.

Trebuie sa precizez faptul ca, in prima instanta un router cisco nu se poate accesa in mod direct prin apelarea Ip-ului, ci doar prin conectarea unui cablu de consola :

Respectivul accesoriu se conecteaza intre portul de consola al routerului si portul serial al calculatorului si se acceseaza prin intermediul unui programel numit Hyperterminal pe care il gasiti in “program Files – Accesories – Communications” in cazul windows… Aveti nevoie si de setarea unor configuratii pentru ca programul sa poata comunica cu routerul:
